Case summary
Tyumen resident. In November 2019, Makhmudov's home was searched, he was interrogated and detained as part of a case on the activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, groundlessly recognised as a terrorist organisation. On 21 November, the court decided to send him to custody. On 4 August 2022, he was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
