Case summary
Resident of Ufa. In February 2017, detained and arrested for involvement in a terrorist organisation in connection with alleged involvement in the activities of the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir. On February 21, 2019, he was sentenced to 16 years in a maximum security colony. On October 18, the Supreme Court reclassified the charges from participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation to organizing terrorist activities and added six months to the sentence.
