Case summary
In January 2022, it became known that Fateyev was added to Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists. Since Alexei Navalny and his associates were listed on the same day in the extremist community case, Fateyev assumed that a case had been brought against him as well. By this point, he had left the country. In March, it became known that Fateyev was put on a wanted list.
