Case summary
Former project manager of the Anti-Corruption Foundation. In the past, he was a spokesman for the #Navalny2018 election campaign and host of the NavalnyLIVE channel. In December 2019, he was detained and, after a search, sent to a conscription centre and then to the Arkhangelsk region to the Novaya Zemlya archipelago for military conscription service. The court recognised the opposition activist's conscription as legal, despite the lack of information about his health from the medical commission. In the military unit the command prohibited other conscripts to communicate with Shaveddinov.
In September 2021, it became known that a case of participation in the activities of an extremist community was opened against Shaveddinov in connection with his participation in the activities of various structures of Alexei Navalny. In April 2022, Shaveddinov was put on a wanted list.
In August 2022, it became known that a case was brought against Shaveddinov for disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces and public justification of terrorism. In April 2025, Shaveddinov was declared wanted again, it became known that he was also accused of evading his duties as a "foreign agent". In the message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs he was called a traitor to the Motherland.
