According to the investigation, he participated in a terrorist community created by the SBU officers, from March to August 2022 he carried out surveillance of the places of visits and routes of the employees of the Kherson region VGA and Russian military personnel "for the further commission of acts of international terrorism". Secretly, using his personal vehicle, he transported "instruments and means of committing crimes from the AFU-controlled territory of Ukraine to the city of Kherson" and stored them "in caches he had equipped for this purpose for subsequent transfer to the direct perpetrators of acts of international terrorism from among the participants of the terrorist community".

Full summary
A resident of the Kherson region of Ukraine, former deputy head of the transport and communications department of the Kherson City Council. He was detained on 29 July 2022. On 2 August, explosives were seized from his flat. Later he told that after the detention he was kept in the basement, where he confessed, although he was not familiar with the others prosecuted in the criminal case. On 6 October, he was transported to Simferopol, where he was formally charged with preparation and attempted commission of an act of international terrorism and taken into custody. On 30 January 2026, Bogdanov was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
