Case summary
A resident of the Kherson region of Ukraine, former deputy head of the transport and communications department of the Kherson City Council. He was detained on 29 July 2022. On 2 August, explosives were seized from his flat. Later he told that after the detention he was kept in the basement, where he confessed, although he was not familiar with the others prosecuted in the criminal case. On 6 October, he was transported to Simferopol, where he was formally charged with preparation and attempted commission of an act of international terrorism and taken into custody. On 30 January 2026, Bogdanov was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony.
