According to the investigation, on January 19, 2022, the individuals involved filmed a model clad in underwear and a fur coat with the Moscow Cathedral Mosque as the backdrop, thus insulting the religious sentiments of believers by displaying blatant disrespect towards the mosque, an object of religious veneration. Subsequently, they disseminated information about these actions on the Internet to increase their public profile. "Katanova M.P. assumed the role of co-directing and co-coordinating the members within the criminal group with Maslennikov R.M. Jointly with Maslennikov R.M. and Reznichenko A.Y. she was clarifying the details of the plan and actions of each co-conspirator at the stage of preparation for the offence and in the process of committing it, sourcing appropriate clothing for the female accomplice featured in the photograph against the mosque backdrop, personally capturing images of the female accomplice, amending the publication containing false information intended for posting on her profile and disseminating this misleading information on her account page."
