Case summary
Economist, member of the board of directors of the Free Russia Foundation and co-founder of Boris Nemtsov's Foundation For Freedom. One of the co-authors of the report on Boris Nemtsov's materials "Putin. War." Shortly after the outbreak of the war, he joined the Russian Anti-War Committee. In June 2023 he was included in the Register of "Foreign Agents". On 14 October 2025, the FSB reported about the initiation of a case against Aleksashenko and other members of the committee on violent seizure of power and activities of a terrorist community. The reason was the adoption of the "Berlin Declaration" on the need for a change of power in Russia.
