Case summary

Historian, political scientist. Shortly after the outbreak of the war he became a member of the Anti-War Committee of Russia. In May 2025, he was included in the register of "foreign agents". On 14 October 2025, the FSB reported about the initiation of a case against Pivovarov and other members of the Anti-War Committee of Russia for forcible seizure of power and organisation of activities of a terrorist community. The reason was the adoption of the "Berlin Declaration" on the need for a change of power in Russia.
