Case summary

A gallery owner, a curator of art projects. At the end of December 2021, he was included in the register of "foreign agents". In December 2022 it became known that Gelman was put on the wanted list under an unknown article. On 14 November 2024, he was included in the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring (Russian Financial Monitoring Agency) with a mark that is put to those prosecuted under terrorist articles. On 22 November it was reported that a case of public justification of terrorism was brought against Gelman, details unknown. On 14 October 2025, the FSB reported about the initiation of a case against Gelman and other members of the "Anti-War Committee of Russia" for violent seizure of power and organisation of activities of a terrorist community. The reason was the adoption of the "Berlin Declaration" on the need for a change of power in Russia.
