Case summary
A resident of Krasnoyarsk, a combat veteran. He was detained in September 2021, transported to Moscow, where he was taken into custody on charges of involvement in organizing mass riots in connection with correspondence in the telegram chat network "What - to Do!", where possible protest actions during the Duma elections were discussed. Later it became known that Yanochkin was also accused of inciting hatred. On April 5, 2024, he was sentenced to six years in a penal colony. According to another convict in the case, Dmitry Chebanov, the witness who testified against Yanochkin was under pressure from the investigation. The Sota Vision publication notes that there are inconsistencies in the protocols with the testimony of the witness: for example, it follows from some testimony that the Molotov cocktail tests they conducted in the forest were successful, and from others that the incendiary mixture did not catch fire. In February 2026, Yanochkin was supposedly released.
