Arrested on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation; in January 2016, a charge of preparation for violent seizure of power was added. On 30 July 2018, sentenced to 21 years in a strict regime colony.

In 2014, he was a suspect in a case of involvement in an extremist organisation.
