Case summary
On February 4, 2015, he was detained, along with 30 other suspects, for their alleged involvement in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir. He was subsequently arrested on charges related to participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation. In January 2016, additional charges were filed against him, accusing him of preparation of a forcible seizure of power. On July 30, 2018, he received a 22-year sentence in a strict-regime penal colony.
